About Us

      Since I was little I have loved nature, all living things, and everything about our planet and its ecosystem.  Though I was not always a great steward of the environment I was at least cognizant and tried my best. I have watched as everything about our planet has been affected by global warming and the destruction, we as humans have caused simply by existing and evolving.  Everyday our planet suffers the consequences of our actions. From the destruction of the rainforests and pollution of our oceans, to the everyday devastation facing our farmers due to climate change. Enough is enough! We only get one planet and each and every one of us must do our part and make a concerted effort to reduce our impact on the planet.

 

     While one person alone cannot change the earth; collectively, I believe we still have a chance.  I have chosen make as much a different as I can with the Tiny Bee Co. I started The Tiny Bee brand from my love of Bees. I always knew I would be a beekeeper and when I retired from the military I knew that day was here. I joined my local bee keeping association and never looked back.  I continue to stay educated, as I know the pollinators I care for make a huge difference in the world and if they die off we would soon follow.

 

     Now I may also be just a tiny bit of a prepper and want I ensure I am continually building skills that can make a difference in the event something ever happens.  Ya know, you never can be to safe.  So over the last few years I have spent a ton of time researching and learning a great deal about herbalism, homesteading and self-sustainability. I taught myself about herbal medicine and home remedies such as salves, balms and tinctures and it was also a way to incorporate bees into another aspect of my life through the use of beeswax.

 

     I spent a great deal of time on my formulations and found that each one was unique and beneficial in its own way.  I decided to launch balms and salves as my first products.  From there I moved into the cold process soap world.  However, I wanted to continue my bee theme and was able to formulate an amazing soap that uses beeswax and so the Tiny Bee Soapery was born.  In an effort to continue making a difference on our planet, my products are made with eco-friendly sustainable ingredients and packaged in reusable containers whenever possible.      

 

      While the bees help with pollination and my balms, salves and tinctures help heal and protect the body, I also wanted to make sure I represented the mind.  I do see myself as a healer so crystals were a logical jump for me.
